Internet outage in Northern VA

It's been four days since we've had the internet in Alexandria. I am in Silver Spring typing on my I-phone. It takes too long to say much here except to ask what is going on? Some people say that D.C. has cut us off, but there is os little information. All the stuff about the war seems to be coming down off of youtube. From what I hear. Rumors are crazy. Here is what I know.

There was a battle at the courthouse.

There have been countless small skirmishes.

The mujuhadin have hurt us almost as much as Districtians. They have taken over houses, which I remember was one of the things in the revolutionary war. My mom and dad are freaking. This along with the Depression. Mom hasn't even opened her flower shop in over a week. She's been taking too much valium.

Dad has been going out with his friends, saying he is fighting, but I think that he and his friends go out and hide in the woods and get drunk.

Oh oh, something weird is going on up here too. I've got to go.

War for real

It seems like its finally happened. the food riot violence from DC is fully here in VA now. The past two nights have been terrible. It's like war for real and then, I mean we're supposed to go to school and stuff and work and act like nothing is happening. The DC army was storming our state last night as the nation watched Biden and Palin. I mean, in a normal context, good for them. But they talk about Iraq and Afghanistan and don't mention anything about us!

I can't understand, someone help me. Why is this not on the news? Why is nobody saying anything? It even has a name now. The Potomac War. There was the Battle at the Courthouse. Some people are saying that guy Hero died two nights ago at that. I hope not cause then these other barbarians, well.

Somebody help us. Where is the national guard? Charles Babbage?

Fairfax tornado caused by DC?

I saw a rally of the Southern-VA mujuhadin tonight. That one guy who hangs around with Hero, he was saying that the Tornado coming towards Fairfax County was created by the Federal Weather Production Machines in DC. If Fairfax is devastated, the Federal Troops have a reason to come in.

That sounds so insane to me. They don't have weather machines. But it is, I don't know, it's bothering me. As a I watch the weather, I can't get it out of my head.

What if we became our own territory. Maybe the state of Alexandria? I don't know, it might not work, but there's got to be some answer.

This is sad as can be. They say he was taken down to Virginia and killed. Why would that happen? No one here, In Alexandria would do that. Either it was just an accident, drugs or something. Or it was those thugs who've been coming up here trying to make things worse and start a war. Could that really be true. It feels like everyone is trying to make this happen. A war here? Really? I thought, I mean that stuff happens in Iraq, not here. It's just unreal and because of the economy and the bailout and stuff I haven't even seen it on tv at all. Where is the media? I mean, if Sunny Hamburger got killed here, then the Washington Post or the New York Times should come and figure it out. Prove it and it won't lead to anything worse.

If Obama or McCain addresses this, I will vote for them.

I need to drink some coffee. Gerry won't even go out since those guys beat him up. It's scary out but I won't let them keep me in.

The guy I saw today, Hero, and the weird squirrelly dude who tagged around with him, I found them on line today at this youtube station. No wonder Hero told him to shut up abotu the Shadow. the guy is obsessed. He's a nut. But that Hero is hot. I swear he is coming up here ot protect us, but his friends they aren't any good. In other news, the window of the Dunkin Donuts across from Bishop England was smashed. Julie works there. They think it's DC, but I think it was kids from our school doing it. I heard that guy Scotty saying some4thing like that.

Hero?

This morning I was out in old town and I saw a group of thugs wearing confederate flags hasseling two young women-- sex and the city types who probably even watch lipstick jungle-- and I got really scared after what happened yesterday. Everyone was running away and scared to do anything.

Then this guy comes up. He had a buzz and stuff and a marine tattoo so I think he'd been a marine. He walked right past me is how I know. He had a gun. He stormed up there.

"Hey you fuckers. What the hell you think you're doing. You thin you're gonna save Virginia by acting this way. Really? These are our people, from our Commonwealth and you going to try to treat them like that. Now, you want to fight a fellow Virgnian, fight me, or else scram."

One of the men said.

"Just who the fuck are you to tell us what to do?"

A squirelly little guy with a beard and a fakeskin cowboy hat ran up behind him. "Hero, that's who!" he said, looking at the other guy with ride. "Yeah and before you even go and fucking ask, yes the Hero."

"Well, fuck that, ain't nobody tell me what to do," the guy said and turned back towards the two women frozen at their BMW.

Hero walked up behind the guy and reached down and grabbed his feet out from under him. The guy's face hit the hood of the car and he fell. His friends started to run off.

"That's what you get for fucking with hero you stupids. You as bad as them shadow worshiping DC's."

"Shut up about the Shadow, Jebediah," Hero said and then turned to the ladies, apologized and left.

Maybe there is hope.

Stuck in the middle

Ahh- I feel trapped. I mean when is the last time you lived in disputed territory, huh?

I mean the other day, this like batallion of guys from D.C. came across the river in white work vans. They pulled up at the school where the soccer games were going on. They jumped out and had on uniforms. They were armed. They attacked a middle-aged corporate soccor team and called it a military victory when three guys, an accountant, a computer programmer for the restaurant lobby, and a children's book author, were laying dead on the field. The programmer was not even on the same team as the other two. They put stickers of the DC soccer team, DC United over the guys' mouths and burned the letters DC into the field.

And it didn't even make the news because DC controls the media.

But word got around and now its even worse. All of these militia guys and Civil War re-enactors and thugs have been flooding into Alexandria. They've been kicking people out of their homes, calling them queer, and telling them to go up to DC. Some people are even saying that it was these guys from Southern Virginia and not DC guys at all who came to the soccer field. Their all equally as bad and nobody can just let us be us. We like it here in Alexandria and we can't help it if we're part of Virginia or DC. Just leave us alone everybody!

Me and my boy friend were listening to Modest Mouse and some redneck called him a queer and pulled him by the hair and threw him down. Another guy peed on him. When I tried to make him stop, he swing his pee at me and another guy pulled a gun on me. I was sure they were going to rape me. But one of their NExtels beeped and a guy said "come on, turkeys" and they left.

We are truly stuck-- both sides want to destroy our way of life.
